Self-Love Languages

when we discuss love languages — how to speak someone else’s love language or even getting to know our own, so others can know the best way we receive love — we rarely talk about love languages for self.
self-care is so much more than face masks and hot bubble baths... it’s asking yourself how can I love on ME right now?

What do I need at this very moment?

—— words of affirmation: hearing motivation, telling yourself words of encouragement - maybe you need to call that friend or family member that always lifts you up.. maybe you need to walk in front of a mirror and tell yourself how bomb you are? listening to a sermon, or your favorite motivational podcast should help too!

acts of service: get up and do something for you. This could mean cleaning your house, cooking your favorite meal, and just doing things that’ll make your life easier.


receiving gifts: what’s better than treating yourself? this could be something as small as getting a cup of coffee from your favorite coffee shop. Or nurturing your creative self.. investing in yourself and your dreams.

quality time: take a moment to be by yourself for a second. take a walk, sit in the sun, go out on a solo lunch.. this is a perfect time to journal and reflect

physical touch: pamper yourself! Take a bath, exercise, get your nails done, get a massage, wash your hair, do a face mask.. be sweet to your body!
