learning how to love through your trauma:
we can think our baggage and our past is too much for ourselves to deal with, let alone someone else... but understanding the root of where our trauma comes from changes the perspective.
DADDY ISSUES.
for a lot of us this started as a child seeing how our parents interacted with each other - whether they are divorced or separated or simply not in the picture - understanding relationships as pain, and accepting toxic behavior within our romantic relationships;
fear of being replaced.
fear of being abandoned or left.
not knowing your worth,
not knowing what you deserve
expecting too much from people - and this is not to say your bar can’t be high - because believe me it can be, but as Jada says - it’s expecting someone to do for you what you won’t even do for yourself.
trust yourself to fully let your guard down; baggage/trauma and all.
The real power of being secure - means knowing your identity and knowing you’re in the right place and knowing you're moving in purpose and understanding what you’re doing and what you’re bringing to table (good and bad)
BEFORE the person.
allow self-love to be your healing.
